Matcha Latte Recipe (Creamy, Smooth, and Never Bitter)
Make the perfect matcha latte at home — creamy, smooth, and without any bitter taste. With tips for the best milk, ratios, and an iced version.

Ingredients (for 1 matcha latte)
- 1-2 grams matcha powder
- 30-50 ml warm water (70-80°C)
- 150-200 ml milk of your choice
Step by Step
- Sift 1-2 grams of matcha into a bowl or large glass
- Add 30-50 ml of warm water and whisk until smooth
- Heat 150-200 ml of milk to approximately 65-70°C
- Froth the milk
- Pour the frothed milk over the matcha
- Sweeten to taste with honey or agave syrup
Iced matcha latte
- Sift matcha into a glass
- Add 30 ml of cold water and whisk until smooth
- Fill a large glass with ice cubes and cold milk
- Pour the matcha on top
