Matcha Latte Recipe (Creamy, Smooth, and Never Bitter)

Ingredients (for 1 matcha latte)

  • 1-2 grams matcha powder
  • 30-50 ml warm water (70-80°C)
  • 150-200 ml milk of your choice

Step by Step

  1. Sift 1-2 grams of matcha into a bowl or large glass
  2. Add 30-50 ml of warm water and whisk until smooth
  3. Heat 150-200 ml of milk to approximately 65-70°C
  4. Froth the milk
  5. Pour the frothed milk over the matcha
  6. Sweeten to taste with honey or agave syrup

Iced matcha latte

  1. Sift matcha into a glass
  2. Add 30 ml of cold water and whisk until smooth
  3. Fill a large glass with ice cubes and cold milk
  4. Pour the matcha on top
